It's the Annual Woodlake MOPS White Elephant Christmas Gift Exchange

There was great anticipation for this event to see what the craziest gifts would be. Fortunately for some, there were really great gifts like decorations, gift cards, and home goods. Of course, these items changed has quite a few times. On the flip side, we had a donkey alarm clock, a coconut head of some sort, big bass fish, two cans of spotted d*#k (which by the way isn't spotted meat like some thought...HA! It's a type of bread pudding), a tropical doll, and to top the list a big ol' dancin' James Brown with complimentary cd. Who wouldn't love to curl up by the fire with their hubby and big headed James Brown to listen to Christmas in the Ghetto??? I know one lucky mama who will :0)!!
Here are some photos from our morning. Enjoy and have a wonderful Christmas!!!

The Steering Team Goes Caroling...In the Rain!!!

The steering team thought it would be fun to sing a few Christmas songs for some of the MOPS moms. As soon as we got to the first house, it started pouring out, but that didn't stop us!! Those lucky enough experience our heavenly voices heard songs ranging from Deck the Halls to Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (which we decided was way too long and cut it half way through our caroling adventure). It was a very fun evening...at least for us singers!...HA!!!!

Craft Fair

YAY!!! Our Craft Fair was a huge success! Thanks so much to all of you for your help and support!

Mommy Games!

Here are some funny photos from the Mommy Games. Our morning group had to identify objects in a diaper bag while blindfolded, talk with a bottle in their mouth, and race other moms on a tricycle. That event turned out to be quite a workout! Check out the video :0)!!

Loving Your Man's Adventurous Heart!

Mike Young from Noble Warriors came to speak to us about our husbands' adventurous hearts.

Let us remember...The Glory of God is man fully alive. Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly."

Here are some ways we can be supportive of our husbands and their desire for adventure:

Talk with your man about his dreams

Start to figure out how you can be a part of his great adventure

Work through your security issues
Remember- The Glory of God is man fully alive.
Remember- God put this quest of adventure in his heart.

Pray for your man

Mom's Night Out- Scavenger Hunt!!

By the looks on their faces, I'd say the girls had a great time at the Walmart Scavenger
Hunt!

On second thought...maybe some people got a little too competitive!

Whoa... and it looks like a few of them got into trouble with the Walmart staff!!!!!

At least it looks like they were able to regroup and enjoy dessert together :0)!

MOPS at the WUMC Family Fun Festival

Here are some pictures of the MOPS table at the festival. Here, steering team members were able to share information about our group and the children could make a cute little shaker to take home.

Here is our very own Jill McLean in the dunking booth!!! I think the kids in her line had very good arms because she always seemed to be in the water :0)!!

Our MOPS 2008 Kick-off Picnic!

Here are some pictures from our Kick-off Picnic! What a fun time! Thankfully, the rain stopped a few times so the kids could head out on the playground to play!

What a great turn out! It was so nice to see some new faces and friends from last year. It was also great to meet the POPS and the kiddos!

What a great year it's going to be!!!

Mops Yard Sale

The yard sale was a huge success thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and donated items for us to sell. Thank you so much!

The tagging and pricing party began at Kathy's house on Friday evening. Look at all that stuff! Can you believe it was all stored in Kathy's family room and dining room the past two weeks?

Look at Jacki, our Finance Leader, she couldn't be happier right now! We made a whopping $1200 at the yard sale!
