Candlelight Prayer Service

We held a special prayer service for Lynn, right on her front lawn Monday! It was a beautiful service filled with prayers and singing. We prayed for heeling and comfort for Lynn. We love you Lynn!

Mom's Night Out

We had a scavenger hunt at Wal-Mart.

Picture it- Grown women running at lightening speed through the store, yelling "Here- Here- Go-Go" and taking pictures of themselves holding products. It was crazy and very silly, but fun for everyone!!

17th Annual Cookies & Craft Fair

Welcome to the craft fair! Jill R. and Cara worked super-hard making the craft fair a success.

All the vendors set-up in the Sanctuary and in room 130.

Mops had a table just for us to sell our breads and cookbooks. We also had hot cider and coffee for sale.

Thanks to all the Moms, who helped out with baking bread, passing out neighborhood fliers, setting up the craft fair and working at the fair. We couldn't have done it without you!

Mops/Pops Date Night

Our annual Mops/Pops Date Night went very well this year. We had about 25 couples come. We had an Italian potluck dinner first, then listened to special guest speaker Mike Young of The Noble Warriors. The topic: 'The marriage big three: sex, communication and finance.'

Mike Young gave us some tools for a strong marriage:

1. Understand your differences. I Peter 3:7

2. Place your mates needs above your own. Philippians 2:3

3. Be patient. I Corinthians 13:4

4. Guard your heart and your eyes. Job 31:1

5. Strive for oneness. Genesis 2:24

6. Live peacefully. I Thes. 5:13

7. Move toward each other in trouble. Matthew 5:23

8. Avoid explosions. Proverbs 15:1

9. Find agreement. Amos 3:3

Two are better than one,

because they have a good return for their work:

If one falls down his friend can help him up.

But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.

But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Mom's Night Out!

It was our first Mom's Night Out of the year, and what a treat it was! Alicia's Day Spa and Salon offered us an evening of total pampering and relaxing. All free, we got haircuts, manicures, waxes and massages.
